How Does It Work

The water is first filtered through an activated carbon filter which removes chlorine, bacteria and other pollutants but still retaining the dissolved minerals.

The water is then subjected to an electrical charge using electrolysis, which charges the water with positive and negative ions. The positive ions are the acidic minerals, which are bled off to one side leaving the beneficial alkaline minerals.

Negative ion minerals are: calcium, magnesium and potassium and are extremely beneficial in neutralising free radicals, and increased alkalinity is beneficial in neutralising acidity in the body and transporting calcium to the bones.
  1. The Waterwell© water ionizer first filters the tap water of harmful bacteria, organic chemicals, chlorine and poisonous metals, providing an excellent filtration of tap water contaminates. This is achieved by using a special activated silver impregnated carbon filter.
  2. The purified tap water without contaminates, consists of alkaline and acid minerals mixed.  This water is then processed through a water cell that has platinum coated titanium electrodes, each electrode is charged positive and negative respectively.
  3. Alkaline minerals are positively charged, and are attracted to the negative electrode as they pass through the water cell.
  4. Acid minerals are negatively charged, and are attracted to the positive electrode as they pass through the water cell.

This process is called ionization and effectively "splits" the water into alkaline and acid mineral water.  The Waterwell©  antioxidant ionizer filters and then splits the water giving you the advantage of using two types of water, alkaline and acid for the cost of one !

The unit delivers 70% alkaline water from the flexible chromium output tap for drinking and 30% acid water for external uses from the lower outlet of the unit.
